The Gosaikunda Helicopter Tour departs Kathmandu for the sacred lake in Langtang National Park. The flight crosses the northern hills and offers views toward Ganesh Himal and Langtang when skies are clear. Any landing beside the lake is brief and conditional because the site is high, exposed and weather-sensitive.
This aviation program is designed as a carefully managed mountain experience, not a guaranteed sightseeing timetable. Departure time, routing, landing, passenger distribution and time on the ground depend on weather, visibility, air-traffic instructions, aircraft performance and the pilot’s final safety decision. Clear pre-flight communication, realistic expectations and flexible contingency planning are
therefore central to the service.
Maximum landing altitude: Gosaikunda – approximately 4,380 m / 14,370 ft
Operating note: The sequence below is indicative. Weather, visibility, aircraft availability, passenger weight, air-traffic control and the pilot’s safety assessment may change the departure time, routing, landing point or duration.
Hotel pickup when included; helicopter-terminal check-in and briefing; approximately 20–35 minutes’ flight toward Gosaikunda; conditional 15–30 minute landing; return to Kathmandu. Holding, refuelling or routing can change the total duration.
Gosaikunda is above 4,000 metres. Keep the landing brief, walk slowly and do not enter the icy lake. The pilot may cancel the landing because of cloud, wind, snow, crowding or aircraft limits.
• Every passenger must provide accurate body weight, including clothing and hand baggage.
• The pilot has final authority over routing, landing duration and cancellation.
• High-altitude exposure can cause headache, dizziness or nausea even during a short landing.
• Keep baggage within the confirmed limit and follow crew instructions at all times.
• Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms follow the written booking conditions.
This short flight suits travelers who want an aerial visit to the Gosaikunda region and who understand that high-altitude landing time is brief and never guaranteed. It may be appropriate for guests unable to complete the full trek, but it is not automatically suitable for people with heart, lung, blood-pressure or serious mobility conditions; medical advice and advance disclosure are essential.
Passenger Fitness, Boarding and Accessibility Passengers must be able to follow crew instructions and normally step into and out of a small aircraft with limited assistance. Mobility support, child travel, pregnancy, recent surgery, supplemental oxygen needs and special baggage must be discussed before booking. The pilot may refuse participation when a condition creates unacceptable operational or medical risk.
Carry a passport or requested identification, warm windproof layers, gloves, sunglasses, sun protection, essential medication and only the permitted small personal bag. Avoid loose hats and unsecured scarves near the aircraft. Follow the operator’s final baggage and weight instructions; excess or undeclared baggage may be refused.
Respect crew directions, marked landing areas, local worship and photography restrictions. Do not approach the aircraft until invited, walk only where directed and secure all loose belongings. Landing access must never disturb pilgrims, wildlife or community activity, and the pilot’s decision takes priority over photography or sightseeing expectations.
